Global Somatics is an approach to movement education and therapydeveloped by Suzanne River. It is rooted in the mappings of Body-Mind Centering®. Global Somatics facilitates embodiment of the body systems (fluids, fascia, fat, bones, organs, muscles, ligaments, glands, nerves and energy) through movement and hands-on work.

Shiatsu is a therapeutic bodywork that is Japanese in origin. It is based on principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine combined with modern anatomy and physiology.

Shaitsu, literally translates as "finger pressure." Similar to acupressure, Shiatsu concentrates on unblocking the flow of "Qi" (life/vital energy) and restoring balance to the body in order to promote self-healing.

The practitioner applies pressure with the fingers, thumbs, palms, elbows or knees to specific points located along the energy channels (meridians). Stretching, tapping, soothing or kneading techniques may also be used.

Shiatsu reduces stress and tension, relieves pain, stimulates blood and lymphatic flow, promotes deep relaxation and contributes to overall well-being.

Swedish Massage is a vigorous system of treatment designed to energize the body by stimulating circulation. Five basic strokes, all flowing toward the heart, are used to manipulate the soft tissues of the body. Swedish massage is often used for generalized relaxation, stress reduction, relieving muscle tension, improving circulation and range of motion, health promotion and body image work. It serves as a framework with which other techniques may be combined. Rosy incorporates aspects of Shiatsu into her massage sessions
